As the customer switched freight forwarders to reduce shipping costs, it risked missing the scheduled vessel departure—potentially incurring about $45,000 in extra expenses—and the newly assigned containers lacked wooden flooring, making it difficult to secure the heavy equipment.
With the approaching Chinese New Year likely to cause shipping delays and detention fees, PalletMach’s delivery and logistics teams acted quickly.
The logistics manager coordinated the urgent procurement of maritime fumigation-compliant wooden planks to stabilize the equipment, while craftsmen innovatively used these planks to secure the equipment.
